Good afternoon, Lubbock District Advisors!
I wanted to send out some important information and reminders regarding our upcoming Lubbock District Fall Meeting and Lubbock District Greenhand Conference. We have several important items coming up, so please take a moment to review the information below and make sure your students are prepared.
Lubbock District Fall Meeting
The Lubbock District Fall Meeting will be an important meeting, as we will be voting on the adoption of our constitution and bylaws. The meeting will be held:
Monday, September 14th
Lubbock ISD AgriSTEM Center
102 Quaker Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79416
District Officers Arrive: 4:15 PM
Delegate Check-in: 4:50 PM
Meeting Begins Promptly: 5:30 PM
Estimated End Time: 7:30 PM
Please emphasize the importance of being on time so that we can get the meeting started promptly and keep everything running smoothly.
As a friendly reminder, all students attending the Fall Meeting will need to be in official dress.
Following the business portion of the meeting, students will have the opportunity to participate in a student panel, giving them a chance to engage with and learn from the panelists.
If you have not yet familiarized your students with the items that will be voted on, please refer back to my 30-Day Notice email sent on Friday, July 31st and take some time to review those items with your students before the meeting. It is important that our students understand what they are being asked to vote on and are prepared to participate.
Advisor Meeting
Please note that we will also have a Lubbock District Advisor Meeting that evening during the student meeting. We will need to discuss and fill Matthew’s position on the Lubbock District Executive Board, as he is now serving on the Area Executive Board.
Please plan to attend so we can take care of this as a district while our students are in their meeting. I appreciate everyone being there and helping us keep things moving forward smoothly!
Lubbock District Greenhand Conference
The Lubbock District Greenhand Conference is now live on Judging Card!
Wednesday, September 23rd
Lubbock ISD AgriSTEM Center
102 Quaker Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79416
Entry Fee: $15 per student
Registration Deadline: Friday, September 11th
District Officers Arrive: 4:15 PM
Student Check-in: 4:50 PM
Conference: 5:30–7:30 PM
We are currently working on securing a light dinner for the students, as we have had Whataburger provided in the past. I will share more information regarding the meal as soon as those details are finalized.
When registering students through Judging Card, please be sure to enter both the student’s name and T-shirt size correctly. Each student will receive a T-shirt, so it is especially important that entries are completed accurately and by the deadline.
Please be diligent about getting your entries submitted on time and correctly so that we can make sure every student receives the appropriate T-shirt.
Thank you all so much for the time and effort you put into preparing your students and helping make our district events successful. I truly appreciate everyone’s help in making sure we have well-organized, meaningful experiences for our students!
Please reach out if you have any questions. I’m happy to help!
Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Fall Meeting!
Sincerely,
Kelsea
Email July 31, 2026
Good afternoon, Lubbock District Advisors,
Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting last Tuesday, July 21st, at the ATAT Conference. I appreciate the time and thought everyone put into reviewing the documents beforehand and discussing them with us.
I am attaching the minutes from our Lubbock District Meeting, along with the set of Policies we voted to adopt. The Policies were adopted as presented, with no revisions.
As a reminder, we will work from these newly adopted Policies from now until the Lubbock District Constitution and Bylaws are ratified by our student delegates at the September district meeting. Once ratified, the Constitution and Bylaws will become our district's official governing documents, and these Policies will continue in effect under their authority.
Official 30-Day Notice: Constitution and Bylaws Ratification Vote
Pursuant to Constitution Article XIII, Section A, this email also serves as the district's official written notice that the Lubbock District FFA Constitution and Bylaws will be brought before our student delegates for ratification at our September District Meeting:
Date: Monday, September 14th
Time: 5:30 PM (Subject to change)
Location: Lubbock ISD AgriSTEM Center
Ratification requires a two-thirds vote of the student delegates present. The Constitution and Bylaws are attached to this email. No changes were made to them at the July conference, so this is the same version shared with you beforehand. Please make sure your chapter's delegates have had a chance to review these documents before the September meeting.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out!
Sincerely,
Kelsea
