Through a competitive selection process, academic scholarships are awarded annually at the Texas FFA Convention to deserving members. Thanks to the generosity of numerous scholarship donors, the Texas FFA will award more than 150 scholarships to outstanding graduating seniors. These scholarships are awarded based on academic and FFA achievements as well as the member's performance in an interview process.

1) FFA members from Area 1 must first submit their name for consideration by the deadline.  This information is emailed to all Area 1 FFA advisors.

2) The application can be found and applied for through a chapter's Texas FFA roster account on the roster system.

3)  In addition to our chairmen, each district has 2 teacher representatives that can help students prepare.  Those teachers are selected at the annual Ag Teacher's Conference in July and should not volunteer to serve if there is a conflict of interest.

4)  Area I Scholarship applicants will follow all deadlines and rules set by the State FFA Scholarship Committee. Those deadlines are posted on the Texas FFA Website here.

5)  Any late applicants that miss the original deadline to submit their names on the Google Form will have seven days to late enter and that entry must be accompanied by a $250 per application late fee.  Submissions after that will not be accepted.

6)  The Area Application submission deadline will be the first Thursday of April by 11:59 pm.  Applicants must be present the day of Area Scholarship interviews at the corresponding location that will be sent out to those applicants.

7)  Corrections to the applications following the Area level must be made prior to the deadline set by the Area Scholarship Committee on the day of the Area Interview process.
